Dr. Windsor, M.D. is the Chief of Pediatric Pain Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Prisma Health in Greenville, South Carolina, and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Anesthesiology at University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville. He is a board-certified pediatrician with subspecialty training in complex pain and headache disorders affecting children and adolescents. He leads a multidisciplinary division of pain medicine that provides pharmacologic, biobehavioral, procedural, rehabilitative, and integrative strategies to reduce pain and distress for acute pain and chronic pain disorders. As a pediatrician pain-specialist, he practices pain medicine in a developmentally sensitive and family-oriented manner.
He attended the University of Georgia, followed by Mercer University School of Medicine where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society. He subsequently trained in a combined pediatric training program at Boston Children’s Hospital with Harvard Medical School and Boston Medical Center with Boston University School of Medicine. Following his residency training in Pediatrics, he completed subspecialty training in Pediatric Pain Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. He has provided subspecialty care at Boston Children’s Hospital and Seattle Children’s Hospital, holding academic appointments at Harvard Medical School and University of Washington.
He returned home to the southeast in 2018 with his wife and young children to found the Division of Pediatric Pain Medicine with Prisma Health and start a comprehensive pain program to serve the southeast US.
